WarEagleRoadMy friend, Mark, mentioned to me that he'd heard that a section of South Donahue Drive in Auburn had certain "bumpy" strips newly installed on it so that when cars passed over them, a song played. This was the first I'd heard of this "innovation", so I, of course, investigated the next day. I started at the southern end of Donahue and started walking northward until I found what this business was all about:
And here is a view of the bumpy strips. When cars drive over the strips, the first few bars of the "War Eagle Fight Song" (it's a football thing) can be heard. The song is pretty clearly heard in this video that I took during my excursion:
