Front Hook: F
My choices for the front hook words for the letter F are both very common words.
F is for Futility
While FUTILITY and UTILITY are used everyday, what I like about this pair is that, despite, their common spellings, they don't really share any other common formations.
Sure, they can both be pluralized, and, yes, techinally FUTILITY is to FUTILE as UTILITY is to UTILE. But when was the last time anyone actually used the word "utile" (it is a word, meaning "useful", but did you know that?)
UTILITY is related to UTILIZATION, but you won't find "futilization" anywhere.
Oh, I guess, Merriam-Webster does list FUTILITARIAN ("one who engages in futile pursuits"), but again, c'mon... futilitarian?
For this letter I'll just stick with the two common forms and enjoy their similarity.
